HOWDY!!!
This is officially my first post for my blog to share my "craftiness." First, I must disclose my paper and & sticker addiction. I will post pics of my craft room later on. (wanna clean it up a little so I won't be too embarrassed but you'll understand when you see my collection)
I've been collecting stickers since I was in 4th or 5th grade. And, as the pack rat that I am, I still have many of those in their sticker books. :)
When I first started scrapbooking, it was mostly photo albums. Last year, my prima (cousin) got me into card-making and I love it! Recently, I've made other little projects like journals, mini-notebooks, frames and post-it holders to give as gifts and now to sell.
The top pic is a birthday card I made for my cousin Georgina. The next two are Veterans' Day cards. I made one specifically for my Dad who served in the Air Force. He always enjoys getting cards from me.
This card was for my friend Ben. He was making fun of me for putting bling, so I added extra rhinestones to his card! :)
This pink card was made for my 92 year old grandmother when she was in the hospital. The sentiment is in spanish because she doesn't speak english. (it reads "Get Better Soon")
She was so happy to go home! :)
These are two of my mini-composition books that I covered. The one on the left is the first one I sold (today actually! ) I used stickers, trim, pink bling and a breast cancer ribbon jewel. The one on the right, I made for my mom. Those are her initials. They are rub-on letters and I stamped the butterflies.
I added ribbon to both to dress them up :) These notebooks are decoupaged which give it a leathery look and durability. The texture feels pretty cool.
This Christmas, I handmade my gifts to the women in my life. One idea I had was to get some wood frames, spray paint them and then decorate them. I made 8 total. This one is for my prima who lives in Arkansas. Gotta mail it to her...still... oops! Each one that I made was unique with the colors, but the same pattern and different sentiments.
This is a composition book I custom-made for my friend Karmen. She saw the one I made for my friend Geneva and loved it. She loves making lists and writing things down and wanted one of her own. She requested a cowgirl theme and picked the colors. I used paper, stickers, stamping, ribbon, leather trim and rope to decorate it. I also added velcro with ribbon to keep it closed. :)
I also decorated the back a little and decoupaged it as well. I use my heat tool to speed up the drying time in these projects.
I still have more pictures to post with the other projects I've completed. I hope to hear your comments. Please feel free to ask questions and add your own tips and links as well.
Remember, I am now starting to sell my items. I will have some ready to sell, but I will take custom orders so you get something personalized just for you or for a gift.
Thank you for reading and being part of my addiction ;)
