I love that in a sometimes, greedy world, these awesome, kindred spirits, not only share their crafty-goodness, but they share tips, techniques and sales!!! I hope to share my projects as well. Thank you for visiting my blog... Much love to my fellow scrapbooking addicts! :)

2011 Planner COMPLETE!

WOOHOO!!!... i completed the Cowgirl Planner today!

I had been working on a planner as requested by my friend Karmen. She wanted a "cowgirl" theme. She said she likes one-of-a-kind items, so I decided to design the inside myself. I used a font that the capital letters come out with the shape of Texas. I searched for free clipart and added it in throughout the pages.
Pages are decorated. Calendar and weekly pages are completed and hole punched. Just needed to decoupage the cover pages and put together.
Front Cover
The inside of the front cover has little post-its to use throughout the calendar as needed for reminders. :)
COMPLETE!!! I even sewed on a snap to keep closed.

Close up of front cover. I used Cricut Cartridge  "A Child's Year" for the font and the cowboy hat, horseshoe and little girl with horse stick on front and back covers. I added some bling and stickers. Paper is from K&Company. You can see where the decoupage makes a cool texture, plus it makes the covers sturdy for daily use. =)

One of the months I designed on Publisher. Measurements of pages are 6x6.
Weekly Planner. I colored in the boot and letters with a colored pencil so it wouldn't be so plain in just b&w.
Weekly Planner.
I added a 6x6 insert for a pocket page. I inserted a Breast Cancer Ribbon Bookmark.

Some extra pages added for notes. I hand wrote "notes" since Karmen said she liked my handwriting. :)
Inside of back cover. I attached a vellum pocket for anything extra she may want to keep in her planner.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Please feel free to leave comments. This project was a blast to make. It was my first planner to design and put together. I think I may make one for myself. :)
