Valentine's Day Cards

Happy Sunday friends :)

Here are some Valentine's Day cards I've made recently. I have to make some more... Feb.14th is around the corner :)

I have a glitter mist that I spray on each card. It's hard to see on these pictures, but in person, the effect makes the card sparkle :)

a friend of mine bought this one for her hubby :)

this one has to be one of my favorites :)

had to make a non-traditional valentine card using the color blue... i loved the way it came out :)

Thanx for visiting my blog today. I hope you like my cards. Please be sure to follow along... Once I can get this blog going consistently with followers, I'd like to do a little giveaway... not sure what my first goal will be... :)

Hello Kitty!!!

I had a friend who loves Hello Kitty!!! So I found some little stickers. I matted them on black paper. Cut them out into little squares. Got my supplies to make my post-it holder. Grabbed a pink stack of post-its and got started.

I decided to keep the whole back white, but I got my Cuttlebug embossing folder with little hearts and then inked those cute little hearts with a Pink pigment ink pad. Added some flowers, ribbon and bling... :) Too Cute!

Thanks for visiting again! Anything you love that could be crafted???

Baby Girl Card

Happy Monday! Well, I hope it's a good Monday at least. It's always one day closer to the weekend!

Here's a card I made today. I had some textured cards that I decided to decorate. I had some stickers for a baby girl that I have been wanting to use on a card. It's simple... a couple of stickers... a ribbon tag... buttons... bling... and pink ribbon...

The inside has a cute sentiment I found on vellum. I still left room to write a personal message. Hope you like! I need to make one for a boy too! :) Let me know if you have a special request for a card.

2011 Planner COMPLETE!

WOOHOO!!!... i completed the Cowgirl Planner today!

I had been working on a planner as requested by my friend Karmen. She wanted a "cowgirl" theme. She said she likes one-of-a-kind items, so I decided to design the inside myself. I used a font that the capital letters come out with the shape of Texas. I searched for free clipart and added it in throughout the pages.
Pages are decorated. Calendar and weekly pages are completed and hole punched. Just needed to decoupage the cover pages and put together.
Front Cover
The inside of the front cover has little post-its to use throughout the calendar as needed for reminders. :)
COMPLETE!!! I even sewed on a snap to keep closed.

Close up of front cover. I used Cricut Cartridge  "A Child's Year" for the font and the cowboy hat, horseshoe and little girl with horse stick on front and back covers. I added some bling and stickers. Paper is from K&Company. You can see where the decoupage makes a cool texture, plus it makes the covers sturdy for daily use. =)

One of the months I designed on Publisher. Measurements of pages are 6x6.
Weekly Planner. I colored in the boot and letters with a colored pencil so it wouldn't be so plain in just b&w.
Weekly Planner.
I added a 6x6 insert for a pocket page. I inserted a Breast Cancer Ribbon Bookmark.

Some extra pages added for notes. I hand wrote "notes" since Karmen said she liked my handwriting. :)
Inside of back cover. I attached a vellum pocket for anything extra she may want to keep in her planner.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Please feel free to leave comments. This project was a blast to make. It was my first planner to design and put together. I think I may make one for myself. :)

Post-It Note Holders

Everybody needs a post-it note holder!!! :)

Here are 3 post-it note holders I handmade.  PINK, BLUE, RED&BLACK...

I covered some chipboard with different scrapbook papers. Cut and added other pieces to hold a pen with matching paper inside it's tube.

Even the binder clip is covered with matching paper. :)
I added some flowers, buttons, stickers, clips and bling.

I did not put the sticky notes under the binder clip. I thought it would be most inconvenient to have to get a new sticky note each time. Instead, the binder clip serves as decoration and to hang from the wall as well with a push pin.

These would make great gifts for a friend, birthday, teacher or just because. Perhaps it's your un-birthday and want a gift for that as well. LOL. :)

While I like the colors of the post-its, I wish I could find some in plain white to decorate with some COOL papers I have. These pastels just don't help! Oh well.

The red/black holder at the bottom was the last one I created. I got to use some of the bling I bought earlier this week with my mom. I also added a pretty flower sticker and a paper clip.

Thanx for visiting my blog. Hope you liked my projects... :) Please click on the pictures to get a larger, closer view! =)

2011 Planner

My newest project is a request for a 2011 Planner from my friend Karmen. She's pushing my creative juices and I love it! I wasn't sure if she just wanted me to decorate a ready made planner, but when she mentioned she loves one-of-a-kind items, I decided it would be completely handmade- even the inside pages that I am designing on Publisher (i love this program!!!)

I'm still working on the pages, so until I feel I have more done, I will then post some pics. Since this is totally new, I think I will take pictures as the project progresses :)

Here's a little bit of my design. Karmen wants a "cowgirl" theme for her planner like her journal... so I'm personalizing it for her :)

Hope everybody is keeping warm these next few days! Stay safe!

Some Crafty Goodness :)

 HOWDY!!!
This is officially my first post for my blog to share my "craftiness." First, I must disclose my paper and & sticker addiction. I will post pics of my craft room later on. (wanna clean it up a little so I won't be too embarrassed but you'll understand when you see my collection)
I've been collecting stickers since I was in 4th or 5th grade. And, as the pack rat that I am, I still have many of those in their sticker books. :)

When I first started scrapbooking, it was mostly photo albums. Last year, my prima (cousin) got me into card-making and I love it! Recently, I've made other little projects like journals, mini-notebooks, frames and post-it holders to give as gifts and now to sell.
The top pic is a birthday card I made for my cousin Georgina. The next two are Veterans' Day cards. I made one specifically for my Dad who served in the Air Force. He always enjoys getting cards from me.

This card was for my friend Ben. He was making fun of me for putting bling, so I added extra rhinestones to his card! :)

This pink card was made for my 92 year old grandmother when she was in the hospital. The sentiment is in spanish because she doesn't speak english. (it reads "Get Better Soon")
She was so happy to go home! :)

These are two of my mini-composition books that I covered. The one on the left is the first one I sold (today actually! ) I used stickers, trim, pink bling and a breast cancer ribbon jewel. The one on the right, I made for my mom. Those are her initials. They are rub-on letters and I stamped the butterflies.

I added ribbon to both to dress them up :) These notebooks are decoupaged which give it a leathery look and durability. The texture feels pretty cool.

This Christmas, I handmade my gifts to the women in my life. One idea I had was to get some wood frames, spray paint them and then decorate them. I made 8 total. This one is for my prima who lives in Arkansas. Gotta mail it to her...still... oops! Each one that I made was unique with the colors, but the same pattern and different sentiments.

This is a composition book I custom-made for my friend Karmen. She saw the one I made for my friend Geneva and loved it. She loves making lists and writing things down and wanted one of her own. She requested a cowgirl theme and picked the colors. I used paper, stickers, stamping, ribbon, leather trim and rope to decorate it. I also added velcro with ribbon to keep it closed. :)

I also decorated the back a little and decoupaged it as well. I use my heat tool to speed up the drying time in these projects.

I still have more pictures to post with the other projects I've completed. I hope to hear your comments. Please feel free to ask questions and add your own tips and links as well.
Remember, I am now starting to sell my items. I will have some ready to sell, but I will take custom orders so you get something personalized just for you or for a gift.

Thank you for reading and being part of my addiction ;)
